Sprout Technologies will initiate installations of adaptive permaculture and food forests in urban and suburban properties, on public right-of-way, and farmscapes.
There is overwhelming evidence that agricultural systems will need a radical paradigm change from industrial sized, chemically enhanced production to achieve a sustainable supply of food. Producing affordable, healthful food will be a serious challenge even without climate change. Regenerative agriculture and adaptive permaculture makes for smaller scale, more manageable whole systems agriculture that can respond to sudden weather events and adapt to the effects of climate change.
D2LS/Sprout Technologies will collaborate with like-minded organizations, including Buffalo Food Forests (BFF) and Backyard Orchards, to improve food justice and food security in the City of Buffalo and in the Buffalo-Niagara Region.
